Delivering web version of 2010 Annual Report

Box UK are proud to have worked closely with Severn Trent to deliver a web-based version of their 2010 Annual Report and Accounts. The report reflects the style and structure of the printed report whilst maintaining the look and feel of their main site, and their FTSE 100 status.

The new microsite was released to live on schedule and without any issues, and now allows visitors to access all the content of the printed report quickly and easily online. Box UK also developed a key feature of the site that allows users to select distinct sections of the report and download them as a single, complied document.

Project Manager for the development Leanne Evans says, "It was the collaborative attitude between Box UK and Severn Trent that was a main factor in making the project a success."

Box UK built the microsite on the latest version of the Amaxus Web Content Management System, which means it’s fast, reliable and allows the company to easily keep their content up to date. Severn Trent now have a cutting-edge CMS that is also flexible and scalable. They can now begin updating and migrating their existing sites onto the new installation, ensuring that they continue to be an industry leader in their field and their online provisions.

Solid foundation for expansion

"Fully online annual reports are becoming the standard within the FTSE 100, and Severn Trent wanted to continue the strong work started in 2009," said Darren Sandbach, Digital Marketing Manager for Severn Trent Water Ltd. "Meeting the digital needs of our shareholders in a cost-effective manner is a key workstream for our business, and Box UK ably met our requirements on this first critical project in our new relationship. In the final, time-sensitive part of the project, the management and technical teams demonstrated a level of flexibility and understanding that allowed them to adapt to a changing project. Despite clear challenges to both quality and time, the project always felt like it was in good hands and I never had less than the utmost confidence Box UK would deliver. Both I and my broad set of senior stakeholders were very pleased with the final deliverable and believe it will form a solid foundation for our reports in the future."
