Outstanding Web Software Developer, PHP/XML/XSL, Cardiff

Box UK, a multi-award winning Internet Development company, is looking for another extraordinary developer for our expanding Cardiff team.  Joining a team of 40 outstanding individuals, your knowledge and excitement for all web technologies (including PHP, XML, XHTML, CSS and much more) will help our international, brand-name clients achieve even more success and accolades.

We are looking for you if:

• You love writing code.
• The web excites you -- you probably know more than any of your friends about AJAX, SVG, the Semantic Web and Web 2.0.
• You can knowledgably discuss all areas of web development, including Usability, Accessibility, Information Architecture and Standards.
• Small inconsistencies irritate you -- maybe 3 buttons that aren’t perfectly aligned, or a box that doesn’t look quite right when viewed with Firefox on a Mac.
• You’ve made your own web pages, or blog, or put something online through the sheer pleasure of it.
• You make great things happen, and love to achieve.
• You are fascinated with the bigger aspects of development; from frameworks to methodologies, patterns to interface usability.
• You are also fascinated with the details -- the positioning of a tab, the wording of a label, the beauty of a perfectly indented method.
• You ideally have some experience in: XHTML, CSS (including positioning), XSLT, XML, Javascript, PHP, SQL -- although if you can prove to us how good you are, we don’t care which technologies you already know.
• You are a driven, proactive, pragmatic problem solver.
• You’re not afraid to innovate and try solutions that have never been tried.
• You also know when to use the tried and tested approach.
• Even though you are already smart, you constantly crave more knowledge.  For you, life is about learning something -- and achieving something -- every day.
