Box UK wins Central Government contract

Box UK has been awarded the contract to implement Amaxus®, its XML-based Content Management System, for the Office of the Rail Regulator, a high profile Central Government department.

ORR - New Site

"Box UK's Amaxus was selected after a rigorous business and functional gap analysis process involving over 150 CMS suppliers; including all of the market leaders and big content management players.

During this process we identified those solutions that would provide us with the most rapid and effective deployment, while minimising any additional developmental requirement. Even early on Box UK's solution stood out from the rest with its attention to detail and modular approach that would allow us to add further functionality in the future without a major capital outlay. The initial presentations confirmed Amaxus as the front runner and it was at this stage that the usability of the solution became clear. Now that we have implemented the software, our staff are genuinely excited to be working with it and, from a project managers perspective, the uptake has been much smoother and the buy-in far more rapid than usual software implementations.

When we started implementing the Amaxus solution the Box UK staff really came into their own. They were incredibly responsive, displayed excellent attention to detail and made the implementation process completely transparent and stress-free. Together Box UK and the ORR team will launch the website in December 2003, ahead of schedule, exceeding our original specification and below budget...to be honest, from a project managers perspective it doesn't get much better than that!

We now have an industry leading content management tool for our website and our next aim is to start realising the benefits from a dynamic and user-driven intranet."
