North East London Strategic Health Authority
The North East London Strategic Health Authority (NELSHA) is responsible for implementing Department of Health (DoH) strategy and policy in North East London, overseeing the development of the NHS Plan, approving Local Development Plans (LDPs), performance managing trusts and hospitals and ensuring that the books are balanced in our sector. Its purpose is to ensure the continuing improvement in the health of our local population and the provision of local healthcare services to meet the specific needs of that population.
