Amaxus - Standards Compliant
Amaxus is based on XML and established web standards. Standards compliance ensures:
- Systems can communicate
- Information can be shared
- Best practices are adopted
Implementation of standards within Amaxus includes:
Technology and Interoperability: The architecture has been developed according to e-Government Interoperability Standards. A key benefit of Amaxus is the ability to share information between websites using XML. Content can be displayed on multiple channels (e.g. digital TV, PDA) and in multiple formats (e.g. Low-graphics version, text only, PDF etc).
Metadata: Consistent with the e-Government Metadata Framework/Dublin Core. Can be easily configured for any metadata schema and hierarchical classification system(s)/thesauri.
Accessibility: Amaxus enables organisations to easily meet the relevant accessibility standards. Accessible content is easily created with Amaxus, usually with no manual intervention.
