Can Amaxus be used by people with no previous experience of web publishing?

The user-interface employed by Amaxus is designed to be as intuitive and simple to use as possible.  Non-technical users are able to add and edit content without any technical knowledge.

The user-interface provides the following:

• Complete WYSIWYG functionality enabling non-technical users to take content from conception to publication
• Ability to import data from applications such as Microsoft® Word and  Adobe® Acrobat (PDF files)
• Ability to create dynamic quizzes and polls. Interactive web elements can be integrated
• Microsite creation and management: ability to drive numerous sites, with different templates and layouts, using one system
• Provision of standard layout templates which can be applied to sections or documents
• Formatting capabilities
• Tables, including ability to merge/split cells
• Full spell checker and thesaurus, with customisable dictionary
• Ability to create feedback forms with customised fields. The data is stored in a database so this information can be analysed as well as responded to
• Author is able to preview content prior to publishing on the live website
• In-built help information for both technical and non-technical users. Can be switched on and off
