Is a secure method of accessing the CMS administration (a combination of passwords and SSL or equivalent) provided?

A number of secure methods of accessing the CMS front-end can be employed.

Users - Each user is assigned a unique username and password, with which they can be identified within the system. Users can be added, modified or deleted by a super user.

Roles and Groups - Roles define the permission, security and workflow process for users. Access can be granted to create, edit, save and delete content (documents, files, links etc) at different workflow stages (draft, pending, live, etc). Differing permissions can also be granted depending on ownership (e.g. full access to own content, limited access to users within the same Role). This granular access definition facilitates the construction of a workflow environment, where, for example, an author could create a new document and save as ‘draft’; a moderator could edit ‘draft’ and save as ‘pending’; and a publisher could edit 'pending' and save as 'live'.

Roles can be defined by security restrictions that confine users to a site area(s), IP address, host name, or date period(s).

Additional levels if security can be added, such as additional log-in procedures and the use of SSL.
