Technical Director attends Dublin Core Accessibility workshop

Daniel Zambonini, Box UK's Technical Director is to attend the invite-only Dublin Core Accessibility workshop.

The Dublin Core Metadata Initiative is an open forum engaged in the development of interoperable online metadata standards that support a broad range of purposes and business models. DCMI's activities include consensus-driven working groups, global workshops, conferences, standards liaison, and educational efforts to promote widespread acceptance of metadata standards and practices.

This workshop is a special session of the April 2004 meeting of CEN/ISSS Metadata in Multimedia Information. The meeting will take place at the CEN/CENELEC Meeting Centre, Rue de Stassart, B-1050 Brussels.

Dan's work includes the implementation of practical, innovative business solutions through XML/XSL, RDF, Web Services, SVG, and other emerging W3C technologies.

An advocate of the Semantic Web, his particular interests are in web-based metadata and ontologies, particularly RDF and OWL based systems. He has consulted on and developed numerous metadata-based projects, including 300 million GBP education systems, national core metadata standards, and IEEE reports.

He is currently writing a series of semantic-web biased articles for xml.com.
