Dublin Core

The Dublin Core Metadata Initiative is a group engaged in the development of online metadata standards.

The term Dublin Core is often used to describe the Dublin Core Metadata Element Set (DCMES).  The DCMES provides a recommended set of fields for describing a resource. These fields are:

• Description
• Publisher
• Contributor
• Date
• Type
• Format
• Identifier
• Source
• Language
