DNS
An Internet service that translates domain names, such as www.boxuk.com into IP addresses.
Because domain names are words, they're easier to remember. The Internet however, has to translate these words into IP addresses. Every time you use a domain name a DNS must translate the name into the appropriate IP address. For example, the domain name www.boxuk.com translates to 212.100.226.233.
