Box UK at Agile Cymru

Two of Box UK’s team will be sharing their knowledge of Agile ways of working at this year’s Agile Cymru conference, taking place on the 5th-6th July at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff.

Quality and training

In “Making training serious fun”, which is being held in the David Morgan Room at 2:15 on the second day of the conference, Box UK Business Analyst Allie Brock will show how play can help build engagement with and knowledge of Agile concepts – demonstrating some of the games Box UK uses including “Agile Battleships”, “Celebrity Shipwreck” and “Agile Monopoly”.

Then on the second day Quality Analyst Sophie Hayden will be exploring the relationship between Agile and Quality Assurance (QA) in her talk “Get into bed with QA (and make testing Agile)”, also being held in the David Morgan Room at 2:15.The talk will focus on the need for collaboration between the testing and development teams throughout the lifespan of a project in order to safeguard the quality and security of any outputs.

Experienced Agile practitioners

Both speakers will draw on their extensive experience as Agile practitioners, having used the framework on a range of high-profile projects for clients including RS Components, the Royal College of Nursing and TBC Bank.

Allie in particular has also delivered Agile coaching to numerous organisations such as Cardiff University, Jaguar Land Rover and The Open University, as well as being the principal contributor to this recent white paper on the subject of Agile transformation.

Sharing insight to help attendees

Following the announcement, Box UK’s Managing Director Benno Wasserstein commented: “We’re very proud to have Box UK represented by two of our team at the 2016 Agile Cymru conference. The event provides a great opportunity to learn about, and share the insight into, Agile ways of working, so that attendees can apply the principles to their own projects – and fully realise the benefits offered by the framework.”
