Award winners announced

We are pleased to announce that Box UK has been shortlisted for “Best Test Automation Project” in the 2015 European Software Testing Awards, after demonstrating a commitment to high quality and standards when working on a project for the British Horseracing Authority (BHA).

The awards programme celebrates those organisations and individuals who have accomplished significant achievements in the software testing and quality assurance market, and Box UK joins prominent names such as Accenture, William Hill and the Lloyds Banking Group in the Best Test Automation Project category.

Automation best practice

Box UK has been honoured for its work to develop a real-time administration system for BHA, which enables information regarding race incidents, decisions and penalties to be recorded in real time on the racecourse so that relevant data is instantly accessible in a coherent and usable format. To ensure that all client requirements were met a well-developed suite of automated testing scripts was employed, with best practice enforced throughout the project to maximise performance and minimise risk.

The focus on quality evidenced throughout the project was driven at the very highest levels; Box UK is accredited to the ISO 9001:2008 international quality standard, and an internal Quality Management System (QMS) team is responsible for ensuring that necessary processes are followed to support this.

Quality at heart

“Quality is at the heart of all that we do as an organisation, and effective testing processes are an integral aspect of this,” said Benno Wasserstein, Managing Director at Box UK. “Being shortlisted in the European Software Testing Awards shows our success in ensuring that quality is truly embedded into our projects, so that we’re able to deliver the very best software projects and services to our clients across the globe, and as such is a very impressive achievement.”

Innovations in the testing space

Speaking about the judging process Rod Armstrong, Programme Quality Manager at easyJet, and member of the European Software Testing Awards judging panel, said:
“It is once again my pleasure to be a judge for The European Software Testing Awards and I’m looking forward to another excellent set of entries. The opportunity for our competency to be celebrated and lessons to be shared is one of the unique elements of the awards themselves. As a judge I am looking for innovations in the testing space that have created a legacy that can be reapplied within their organisations.”
