Successful ISO 9001:2008 audit

Box UK has retained its ISO 9001:2008 quality management certification after demonstrating high standards of process planning, application and monitoring to auditors from global assessment body ISO (the International Organization for Standardization), which is responsible for defining industry frameworks that help organisations safeguard business performance and customer satisfaction.

Continual improvement

Since becoming ISO 9001:2008-certified in 2011 Box UK has passed three Annual Review audits, and remains committed to the on-going optimisation of its processes in support of core business objectives. The appointment of two trained internal auditors following last year’s assessment saw the consolidation of all quality management activity and helped facilitate the implementation of a number of measures including an online company handbook, improved client feedback procedures and enhancements to the office environment, all of which have strengthened the team’s capabilities and underlined plans for organisational growth.

This positive impact of this programme of continuous improvement was noted by auditor Ceri Morgan, who commented that: “The QMS [Quality Management System] has benefitted from a comprehensive update, which evidenced improvements throughout Box UK’s processes. The general picture is of good and effective control, with well-managed processes observed.”

Looking forward

Following the audit Benno Wasserstein, Managing Director at Box UK, commented: “Having our quality management system formally recognised as continuing to meet the high standards set by ISO highlights the value we place on structured and validated processes, and the critical role they play in ensuring we’re able to deliver high-performing software products and services to our clients. With a continuous improvement framework in place we’re looking forward to building on the great work that’s already been done, so that our ways of working remain effective as the organisation grows and evolves.”
