Being a Business Development Manager at Box UK

You will be responsible for hunting net new opportunities and strategically selling our digital solutions into organisations throughout the UK. Your target audience will be Large Enterprise clients.

As a commercially minded, ambitious, and results-oriented Business Development Manager, you are laser focussed on the continual growth and expansion of Box UK. With your outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills, you are able to quickly build rapport and establish credibility with prospective clients at executive level, to support you in achieving this goal.

In this role you will….

  • Identify and drive new business opportunities new-to-Box UK throughout the UK, targeting Large Enterprise C-level stakeholders and key IT & Digital decision makers.
  • Convert viable prospects into active clients, owning the full sales conversation and negotiation, through to the transition of new clients to the account management team.
  • Continually build an encouraging pipeline of relevant opportunities to deliver against your sales metrics ensuring KPIs are met.
  • Rapidly interpret prospect requirements and coordinate internal teams to construct client-centric commercial offers and proposals, in line with revenue and profitability pricing strategies.
  • Lead and negotiate commercial terms with potential clients.
  • Manage the evaluation and review of both successful and unsuccessful opportunities to retain competitive advantage.
  • Act as an Ambassador of Box UK, providing thought leadership and embodying our culture, values and behaviours.
  • Identify and attend industry events that increase brand awareness and promote commercial opportunities.
  • Provide specialist guidance and support in your area of expertise, acting as a mentor and coach to team members.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within Box UK.

And you will also need…

  • Demonstrable relevant work experience (at least 3 years), and a proven track record of success and achieving targets in a solution focussed, B2B software and digital transformation sales environment.
  • Proficient in the use of Salesforce (or equivalent CRM) as a tool to support and help drive sales efficiency, effectiveness and the delivery of results.
  • Proficient in the use of Google Workspace – Drive, Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Forms and Slides (desirable).
