The details

This Box UK meetup is a must-attend if you're keen to step up the performance, usability and accessibility of your digital services as we'll hear from two leading organisations who've done exactly that - and transformed what were notably under-performing services into invaluable resources that users now rave about.

'From 2-stars to 5-stars'
Firstly we're joined by Elin Goodwin, Product Manager with leading general medical journal BMJ. She'll share with us the story of the BMJ Best Practice App - an essential service for medical professionals worldwide that was however receiving awful reviews from its users, and rated with just 2 stars on the app store. Elin will talk us through the app's transformation journey - letting us know how they've since taken it to 5 stars, and enabled more than 100,000 medical professionals to quickly access vital medical information whenever and wherever it's needed.

'Finger on the pulse'
Secondly we'll hear from Paul Newman, Head of Information Technology at the Royal College of Nursing (RCN). Paul will also be talking about a digital transformation journey, but this time focused around a website and the RCN's path to delivering a modern, agile and efficient set of web services that serve over 435,000 community members worldwide.

Meetup info

If you're not familiar with our regular meetups, they're ideal for local digital and tech enthusiasts looking to discuss common industry issues and make new connections along the way. Structured around informal, conversational presentation sessions, they're both interactive and informative - throughout the morning you'll have the chance to ask questions and share insight... as well as enjoy some great coffee and a bacon roll or two!

Box UK event

We'll be opening at 8am for breakfast with things properly kicking off at 8:30am and wrapping up around 10am - although we'll all be available until 10:30am if you want to discuss anything further, or grab a final cup of coffee before heading into the office :)
