The cost of poor code

The success of all software is dependent on the code that underpins it. Good quality code means efficiency, cost-effectiveness and high-performance. Poor code, on the other hand, can slow down responsiveness and limit functionality - which can have a dangerously negative impact on profitability.

So how does code get into this state? Often, it's the result of a build-up of issues over time - also known as technical debt.

It may be that your software wasn't created to accommodate future plans for growth and diversification. Or that temporary fixes have become more permanent than intended. Whatever the reason, the result is the same: frustrated developers, overstretched technical teams, worried managers and dissatisfied users.

If any of this sounds familiar, then it's time for one of our in-depth code reviews.

What’s covered?

Whether you're about to embark on a new development project or make improvements to what's already there, a code review can give you the confidence you need to move forward.

Our consultants will look at every aspect of your code - including how well it is supported, how easy it is to maintain, how secure and scalable it is, and how it performs in terms of speed, reliability and security.

We'll then highlight the key facts and figures in a report compiled just for you, that can be used as an initial benchmark against which you can measure progress over time. We'll also provide clear, practical and prioritised recommendations, so you can start improving straight away.
