If applying for a vacancy we will also collection information about salary expectations and previous work history, in the form of a Curriculum Vitae. If applying to be a usability tester, we may also collect additional personal information - as relevant to the projects(s) in hand, and as provided by you.
Box UK Ltd will be what’s known as the ‘Controller’ of the personal data you provide to us. The data protection officer at Box UK Ltd is Managing Director, Benno Wasserstein.
Personal information is collected only when you voluntarily provide it. Such information is received when you send us an email or enquiry form, call in to or otherwise engage with our sales team, or make some other specific contact (such as completing an online form, applying for a vacancy, participating in a survey, signing up for an event or registering to receive electronic communications).
If registering interest in our services, enhanced profiling information (company financials, job titles) may be added by our team from publicly-available sources such as LinkedIn or Companies House as part of a qualification process to better understand how Box UK might service your requirements.
We collect personal data such as your name, company information, mailing address, email address or telephone number, as well as enhanced profiling information such as company financials and job titles in order to operate effectively as a business.
When applying for a vacancy we also collect information about your salary expectations and work history (in the form of a Curriculum Vitae) in order to assess your suitability for the role in question. When applying to our usability tester database we also collect project-specific information in order to qualify whether or not you may be a match for available testing opportunities.
We will not collect any personal data we do not need in order to provide and oversee our services to you.
Your personal information is used only to respond to your immediate interest in our services, unless you opt in to receiving further communications. In this case these communications come solely from Box UK and we will only send communications as defined by you.
If registering interest in our services, the personal information you provide will be stored in a Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) (and, if you are registered to receive emails, an Email Marketing Service (EMS)) and made available only to the person(s) equipped to handle your request. The information is stored securely in this CRM/EMS in line with EU regulation using industry standard encryption and systems that support secure and efficient service provision. Personal information is not otherwise sold or shared with any third parties.
If you have submitted an application for a vacancy and/or registered your interest in future vacancies, your information will be stored in a separate system, dedicated to the storage of HR information, and will only be made available to the person(s) equipped to handle this contact.
If you have made an enquiry, called in or otherwise engaged with our sales team, or registered for an event, we will keep your personal information (name, address, contact details, profiling information) for 12 months, or 12 months from the point at which you disengaged with us whichever is the longer. After this time it will be anonymised so as to no longer be personal to you and/or deleted.
If you have supplied personal information for marketing purposes (through registering for a newsletter for example) it will be kept until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive these communications.
If you have supplied personal information in signing up to be a usability tester it will be kept only for as long as is necessary to facilitate the project in question, unless you have asked to be contacted in future about additional testing opportunities. In the case of having registered for future contact, your details will be retained until such point as you notify us that you no longer wish to be registered for this service.
If you have supplied personal information in applying for a vacancy it will be kept for 6 months after the end of the recruitment process for that role unless you have asked to be contacted in future about other such vacancies. In the case of having registered for future contact, your details will be retained until such point as you notify us otherwise.
If at any point you believe the information we hold about you is incorrect you can request to see this information and have it corrected, restricted or deleted by emailing us at email@example.com. You can also use the withdrawal of consent page to withdraw your consent at any time. An unsubscribe option is additionally included in every marketing email you receive.
If you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal data, you can contact us to have the matter investigated at firstname.lastname@example.org.
